The development of COVID-19 detection reagent was introduced. On February 4, the company decided to invest 3.8 million yuan to urgently start the independent development of COVID-19 detection reagent. On February 6, the R&D team of the company held a teleconference with Dr. Liu Huiyu, a researcher of the American HAMNER Research Institute and a senior expert in the pathogenesis research and treatment of infectious diseases in the United States, to determine the technical route of developing the novel coronavirus (2019 nCoV) IgM/IgG antibody detection kit (colloidal gold method), and immediately started the test preparation. On February 9, the company, together with the Institute of Life Sciences and Bioengineering of Beijing Jiaotong University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University and other units, implemented the product development of COVID-19 detection reagent (ELISA). On February 16, the company resumed work smoothly and all tests were carried out in an orderly manner. After more than ten days of hard work, on February 26, the "novel coronavirus (SARS CoV-2) IgG/IgM antibody detection reagent (colloidal gold immunochromatography)" developed by the company made significant progress.
Through the comparison of experimental data, the positive detection rate of the company's products reached more than 90%, the detection time was 5-15 minutes, and all indicators met the requirements, marking that the main performance of the product was equivalent to the certified product. On February 27, the novel coronavirus (SARS CoV-2) IgG/IgM antibody test reagent (ELISA) developed by the company also passed the technical test, and all indicators were qualified, and was sent to the provincial CDC for sample testing, which was recognized by relevant experts.
